Sullivan’s Island

We checked out a new beach close to the Charleston area of South Carolina. We normally go to the Isle of Palms which is the closest beach to our house. We thought it was time to start venturing out to some of the other beaches. So we went to Sullivan’s Island for some lunch and a walk on the beach. We ate a very tasty lunch at Poe’s Tavern. We started with some chips and queso dip. Chris had the Annabel Lee burger which is a burger with a crab cake on top. Chloe and I shared a plate of Mahi Mahi tacos. Lunch was delicious we will definitely be back. Then we walked to the beach. It is a wonderful beach absolutely gorgeous.

I prefer South Carolina it is a little bit warmer. my Mom lives in North Carolina and prefers it there. Where I live in the Charleston area is a great place to vacation. It always comes up in the top 5 lists of places to go or live. I have lived in many places across the US and this has got to be the best so far. Thanks for stopping by my site.

We live in North Carolina, about 250 miles from the coastline. My husband grew up less than five miles from Atlantic Beach and we even moved there for a few years after we were married. No matter, I’m partial to the North Carolina beaches. If you are looking for a family-oriented beach, Kure Beach is wonderful. When we visit the beaches, we either head for Atlantic Beach and historic Beaufort is just across the bridge. With Kure, you’re about 10 miles from Wilmington and just a short ferry ride to Southport so you can enjoy the beach as well as historic sites.
